Kandal Medium Italic Font

Medium Italic introduces a measured sense of movement to Kandal’s sturdy wedge serif structure. The modern cursive construction adds flow and direction, yet the relatively even stroke contrast keeps it grounded and controlled. Its narrow proportions—especially in the capitals—give paragraphs a compact, vertical rhythm that feels focused rather than ornate. Within the family, it pairs naturally with the Medium Roman for emphasis in text, citations, and subheads, offering contrast through gesture instead of weight. Expressive, but never restless, it carries warmth without losing clarity.
