UltraFonts Preview
A font project I’m working on involves doing enhanced versions of my Raster Gothic Condensed series for UltraFonts. UltraFonts are like other “pixel fonts” designed to be used with Flash and other on-screen applications. The difference is that, instead of turning screen pixels on or off, they can also show any state in between. This is just like anti-aliasing, except that, in the case of UltraFonts, the anti-aliasing is done by hand by the font designer rather than by the computer. It’s all rather complicated to explain, so I’ll just show you what it looks like:

These are the three smaller sizes of my Raster Gothic Condensed. The top line in each pair shows the standard version which I released last December. The bottom line in each pair shows the UltraFonts version which is in the early stages of development. The effect is especially nice in the smallest size.
I’m not sure when these will be finished and released, but I’m guessing later this Summer. Sooner if possible.
